Chief Minister Yogi told returnees are the power of the state.

Lucknow, May 31: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Sunday that the state government is not going to impose any new tax to overcome the Corona crisis.

In the lockdown, he described the migrants coming back from other states as the strength of the state.

Addressing the virtual press conference in the capital, Chief Minister Yogi said that the economic activities of the state have been started through the central government package and private sources of the state government. Through this, a large number of jobs are being provided to the workers of the state.

In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that there is no financial crisis in front of the state government. Revenue collection is also getting better now than last month. Also, Uttar Pradesh has benefited the most from the economic package announced by the central government. In such a situation, the state government will not impose any new tax to compensate for the financial loss caused by the lockdown, but the government’s emphasis will be on giving concession to the public.

Yogi said that with the package received from the central government, we are successfully advancing our plans.

He said that most of the schemes and projects of the state government have been started.

He apprised that sugar mills and brick kilns continued to operate during the lockdown. Now Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and large industries are also opening up.

Yogi said that according to Prime Minister Modi’s mantra ‘Jaan Bhi and Jahan Bhi’, we are focusing on furthering economic activities by breaking the corona chain.

In response to another question, Chief Minister Yogi said that due to the Corona crisis, there has been upheaval in industries across the world. In such a situation, if a company wants to come for investment in UP, then we are fully prepared for that.

He informed that a team of ministers and officials has also been formed for this task. In addition, the desk of the US, Japan and South Korea have also been established.

Migrants are state’s strength

When asked about the challenge of the workers and labourers coming in large numbers from other states to their home state, Chief Minister Yogi clarified that people believed that due to this, there will be chaos in the state, but we consider them to be the strength of the state.

He informed that till now about 30 lakh migrants have arrived in the state.

He said that we are doing skill mapping of them. According to their skill they will get work. The government will give work to every hand. We will give employment to every family.

Attacked the opposition

Chief Minister Yogi also attacked the opposition during the press conference.

In response to a question, he said that the government has not juggled the data on corona infection. This is a falsehood of opposition.

He said, “God forbid, the leader of any opposition had to go to Covid Hospital, but if he went there, he would see everything himself.”

The Chief Minister also took a dig that people who keep making various comments on Twitter did not spend a single penny during this crisis.

Attacking the Congress, Yogi said that the people, who charged us for oil and fare to bring back the children from Rajasthan’s Kota district, have sent a list of fake vehicle numbers in the name of buses for the workers. Due to this, lives of thousands of workers and labourers were put in danger by this fraud.

Yogi said that these people have committed an unforgivable crime.
