Lockdown 4.O day 1: Four states of the country account for 78% new cases of coronavirus

New Delhi, May 18: The pace of new cases of coronavirus infection is accelerating without stopping in the country. So far, 5242 new cases have been reported in India. Of this number, 78 percent of new cases are coming from just four states.

Maharashtra has become the corona capital of the country as it is accounting for 45 percent of new cases of lethal virus alone in the country. Here the speed of infection propagation is increasing rather than stopping.

However, national capital Delhi is at the second position. There have been 721 cases in 24 hours, i.e. 14 percent of new cases have been reported from here.

Tamil Nadu is lagging behind in containing the spread of corona by slipping to third place. New cases have been increasing at a pace of 12-13 percent for the last several days. A total of 639 new cases have been reported here in the last 24 hours.

Gujarat is at number four, Corona cases are increasing here too. 7.5 percent new cases have been reported here. And same, Rajasthan is in fifth place.

Recovery percentage increased to 38.29

The good news is that the number of patients recovering from coronavirus in the country is increasing continuously.

At present, the percentage of recovery from the killer disease has increased to 38.29. While in many states, the recovery percentage is above 60, including Odisha, Kerala and the North-Eastern states.
