Lucknow, May 15: Kashi Sumeru Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Narendranand Saraswati has urged the central and state governments that the Karmakandi Brahmins, Tirtha priests and saints should also be helped during the corona era.

He has also suggested increasing the number of trains to take migrant labourers from different metros to their homes.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya was addressing the online dialogue program of ‘Jagruyam’ campaign on Friday.

During this, he said that all the religious rituals during the nationwide lockdown, which is scheduled in third phase, period are closed. Navratri has passed. Marriages are also postponed. In this situation, the situation of about four crore ritualistic Brahmins of the country has become pathetic.

โ€œSimilarly, due to the postponement of pilgrimage, the situation of the pilgrim priest is also miserable in this odd situation. Apart from this, poor saint saints are also on the verge of starvation due to the closure of the grain area and the postponement of religious rituals,โ€ added Shankaracharya.

Shankaracharya said that the government should also think in this direction as well.

He said that at present, a large number of migrant labourers are trying to return to their homes from different parts of the country. They have come out on the streets on foot. The government should increase the number of trains for a few days and bring them safely to their homes.

Shankaracharya continued saying that the basic foundation of Indian culture is religion. A life without religion causes unrest.

He said that whenever religion is in danger, then nature controls those elements which are the factors of disturbance.

He said that that’s why nature brings all the divine disasters like epidemics, earthquakes.

Swami Narendranand Saraswati said that the entire world is plagued by the coronavirus today. Modern science is not even able to give a cure for it. In such a situation, people should take recourse to Indian religion, spirituality and Ayurveda. This virus can be conquered through chanting of Mahamrityunjaya, chanting of Durgasaptasati and havan rituals.

Shankaracharya said that apart from this, people should consume the decoction mentioned in Ayurveda. Instead of tea and coffee, make a decoction of gurichi, black pepper, dry ginger or ginger, clove, cardamom, cinnamon, sandalwood etc. and consume it thrice a day. Also, the corona can be controlled by drinking hot water.

A series of lectures are being conducted through social media under the Jagriyam Abhiyan at lockdown. In this sequence, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Narendranand Saraswati was addressed today. Thousands of followers were logged in this live session.
