Lucknow, 02 March: The team of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has freed up Nazul land worth crores of rupees in Habib Nagar Colony located in Aishbagh area under Zone 7. A woman named Kamrujama had encroached on LDA’s land and LDA won the case in the High Court.

After this, LDA took action of demolition by using bulldozer on Saturday to take back its land.

Zonal Officer of Zone 7 of LDA and Sub-Collector Shashibhushan Pathak said that LDA did not take any action during the court case in the High Court. As soon as the order came in favor of LDA, LDA started its action on the orders of the High Court in which Kamarujama had surrounded the land by building a big wall. That wall has been demolished today. If there is some encroachment left, it will also be demolished.

Shashibhushan said that wherever Nazul land has been encroached upon in the city, LDA keeps running a drive to vacate it.

Meanwhile, a complaint was received about illegal occupation of Nazul land in Zone 7. After investigation, efforts are being made to evacuate, in which now success has been achieved. LDA will continue to vacate Nazul land in future too.
