Kerala and Maharashtra contribute 75% Covid-19 cases in country

New Delhi, 26 August: The speed of the global pandemic coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the country has slowed down but the cases of corona in Kerala and Maharashtra are still on the rise. These two states alone account for 75 percent of the total cases in the country. Kerala alone accounts for 58 percent of the cases.

Meanwhile, Kerala reported 30,007 new cases and 162 deaths on Thursday. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan held a meeting with the Health Secretaries of both the states through video conferencing regarding the situation in Corona.

In this meeting, along with reviewing the measures being taken there, emphasis was placed on four measures.

Rajesh Bhushan told in the press conference held on Thursday that the Government of Kerala has been asked to emphasize on the policy made against Covid of testing, identification, isolation and vaccination.
