Kaziranga will not open for tourists within the predetermined time frame

Kaziranga(Assam), Sept.21: Due to flood in Kaziranga National Park, the time frame may be delayed for the launch of the tourism year 2019-20. Sources in the forest department have said that the flood water of the Brahmaputra  and Diphalu have again filled up a large part of Kaziranga. 

Because of which some area of Bagori and Burha Pahar range of the garden, still submerged in the way of tourists. In such a situation, opening of Kaziranga National Park to tourists is completely dependent on the weather.

It is to be known that repair of roads can be done only after the water comes out of the national park. Sources have told that the National park can be opened for tourists by the middle of October if the repair work of the roads starts from the first week of October.

The director of Kaziranga has told that when the 2019-20 tourism year starts, it will depend on the weather patterns in the next ten days. It is worth mentioning that 176181 domestic and foreign tourists visited Kaziranga during the 2018-19 tourist year. Out of which 168738 domestic and 7443 foreign tourists visited Kaziranga.
