Kanpur, June 10: Four accused, including Hayat Zafar Hashmi, the prime accused of Kanpur violence, have been taken on remand by the police.

Accepting the application, the court has given police remand for 48 hours. During this, the police will collect evidence related to the violence by questioning the PFI connection.

Four, including Hayat Zafar Hashmi, the main accused in the Kanpur violence case, were arrested by the police on Sunday. After this, the police was applying for remand by presenting documents in the court, but due to one reason or the other, the court was not giving remand to the police.

On Friday, once again in the court of ACJ-11, Chief Investigator ACP Tripurari Pandey presented the documents and remand application was made. The court accepted the documents.

On behalf of the police, the government advocate said that the accused has a connection with the PFI. Along with this, remand for evidence is necessary in the investigation of many points related to violence.

On this, the main accused’s advocate Akeel Ahmed denied all the allegations of the police. After the arguments of both the sides, the court granted 48 hours remand to the four accused including the main accused.
