Kanpur riot: Minor accused reaches police station to surrender after police put up rioters posters across city

Kanpur, 07, June: After the Kanpur violence, due to the swift action of the UP Police, the stone pelters are in fear. Due to this, now the stone pelters are reaching the police station to surrender themselves. Actually, the police had pasted posters with the picture of stone pelters in the city. In this sequence, late on Monday night, a minor accused reached Colonelganj police station to surrender.

It is worth mentioning that that after the riot stopped in Kanpur, the police had pasted posters across the city after obtaining the picture of stone pelters from CCTV and video footage.

In this action, the Commissionerate Police had printed the pictures of 40 stone pelters in the posters. Police had nabbed several accused involved in stone pelting and search was on at possible locations.

In this sequence, a minor accused of fear of the police reached the Colonelganj police station.

It is being told that the minor accused is a resident of Beconganj area of โ€‹โ€‹Kanpur and his photo is at number 13 in the poster. The police have so far arrested 38 accused of violence; while more than half a dozen stone pelters are in custody.
