Jaunpur University teacher commits suicide by hanging

Jaunpur, October 11: Aditya Mani Mishra (32), a Math teacher working at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence on the University campus on Sunday evening, police said.

However, people came to know about the incident when a student of the University came to deceased teacherโ€™s room to meet him after taking the state exam today.

In the meantime, student informed other teachers residing in the campus about hanging the Mathematics teacher.

After that, teachers who reached the spot have informed the police about the incident.

On getting the information, the police reached the spot, took the body in possession and sent it for the autopsy.

Aditya has been a Gold Medalist teacher. The deceased teacher was doing the work of teaching (Mathematics) at the Rajju Bhaiya Sansthan on the university campus. He lived in the government residence of the university in the campus. Prior to this, he was teaching in Jaipur University.

It is being told that he was under stress for the past several days. There is no concrete information about what reasons the teacher committed suicide. The incident caused mourning among the university employees.

The family has been informed about the incident. Aditya was originally a resident of Raebareli district in Uttar Pradesh.
