Indore: Seven accused arrested for hurling stones at health staff

Indore, April 02: The Indore police have arrested seven accused involved in pelting stones at the team of health department on Thursday, police said.

Chhatripura police arrested seven people named Mustafa, Naushad, Mohammad Gulrez, Shahrukh Khan, Mubarik, Shoeb alias Shobi and Mazid Khan, the residents of Taat Patti Bakhal area.

The Healthcare workers arrived at Tat Patti Bakhal area of Indore in Madhya Pradesh for the screening of people and also to check if there were any COVID-19 suspects, as soon as a group of people on seeing health workers coming to their locality have started chasing and abusing them.

The situation was worsened when that the miscreants broke up the barricades. Taking the incident seriously, the police have registered an FIR against ten people and seven accused were arrested on Thursday.

Indore DIG Harinayanachari Mishra has told that the culprits were identified through video footage on the incident on Wednesday in the Tat Patti Bakhal area of ​​Indore.

Seven accused, including the main convict, have been arrested. A case has been registered against them under sections 186, 188 and 353 of IPC, including obstruction in government work, Mishra apprised.

DIG on the arrest of other accused, informed that search operation is underway and all accused involved in crime will be nabbed.

They too will soon be under police custody, he informed, “adequate police force is available in Indore. The cyber cell of the police is also on the lookout for misleading publicity on social media,” DIG informed.
