Income Tax sleuths raid several locations of pet food manufacturer in UP, seize black money, jewellery

New Delhi, November 20: The Income Tax Department has raided several locations of a top pet food manufacturer in Uttar Pradesh and seized gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 52 lakh. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) gave this information on Friday.

The CBDT said the raids were conducted on November 16 in 16 locations in Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Noida, Delhi and Ludhiana.

The agency said that undisclosed income of Rs 121 crore has been detected in this raid.

The CBDT said in a statement, “So far, gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 52 lakh has been seized. The remaining jewellery sources are being verified. โ€The Central Board of Direct Taxes said seven lockers have also been discovered, which are yet to be searched.
