In highest spike so far, 142 test positive in Lucknow, total 275 out of 3895 swab samples

Lucknow, July 11: Coronavirus infection continues to spread its tentacles across the state resulting in cases are also increasing rapidly in Unlock-2.

Of the 3,895 samples tested on Friday at the Department of Microbiology of the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in the capital, 275 reported positive on Saturday.

These patients include 142 in Lucknow, 30 in Kannauj, 23 in Sambhal, 29 in Ayodhya, 16 in Moradabad, 11 in Barabanki, 09 in Shahjahanpur, 08 in Mathura, 02-02 in Hardoi-Rae Bareli, 01-01 in Gonda, Gorakhpur and Sitapur.

Along with this, new cases of corona have also been confirmed in reports from several other laboratories.

Likewise, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Hospital in Lucknow has released the report of corona sample test of Samajwadi Party MLC Sunil Singh Sajan, in which he has found to be corona positive.

Among the samples sent to Gorakhpur Medical College from Kushinagar on Saturday morning, nine are positive in the test report. It consists of a policeman stationed in a police line. In this way, the number of infected people in the district has now increased to 227.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr NP Gupta informed that after collecting information about everyone, a team of Health Department is being sent to the village. Those coming into contact are being marked. So far five people have died of corona and 118 people have been sent home after being cured.

Similarly, a person has been found to be corona infected in the test report of corona patients on Saturday from Gorakhpur Medical College in Deoria district. Of the total 259 reports, 258 are negative and one report is positive. In this way, the number of corona infected in the district has now increased to 350. CMO Dr Alok Pandey said that on Saturday, a report has come out positive. He is being admitted to Covid Hospital.

The test report of 275 samples of Sant Kabirnagar was released from BRD Medical College on Saturday, out of which 250 samples were tested negative and 25 positive. The total number of positives in the district has increased to 367. Of these, 235 patients have recovered. So far seven infected people have died of corona.

In Gautam Budh Nagar, the number of infected people reached 3,229 in the last twenty four hours. So far 2,221 people in the district have recovered and gone to their respective homes, while 31 people have also died of deadly virus. Currently 1008 people are admitted to various hospitals in the district where they are undergoing treatment. In the last 24 hours, 87 people have been found corona infected.

According to the report in Agra on Friday night, after confirming the infection among 17 new people, the total number of corona infected patients has now reached 1,374. So far 91 people have died and 1,115 have been cured. Meanwhile, the facility of plasma therapy has been made available at SN Medical College in the district.

According to the Chief Medical Officer of Varanasi, so far 09 Corona infected patients have been found.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today directed that the corona test capacity should be increased continuously.

He said that 30 thousand tests should be done daily through RTPCR method, 15 thousand to 20 thousand tests daily through Rapid Antigen Test and 2 thousand tests daily through TrueNat machine.

He has also instructed to increase the number of beds in Covid hospitals.

He said that without symptoms, infected Covid patients can be treated at L-1 Covid hospital.
