Hotel sealed in Lucknow for organising Holi party sans permission

Lucknow, 28 March: The party was organized on Sunday in a hotel in view of Holi festival in the capital. Coming down heavily on violators, the district administration seized the hotel on the charge of organizing the party without seeking permission.

The global pandemic Covid-19 has once again begun to spread its wings across the country, thus, to prevent the spread of the deadly pathogen; the district administration has made Covid norms like two yards distance and wearing of masks.

Also, in view of the festival of Holi, District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash has given instructions to take strict action against any procession, events and program organised without seeking the permission of the administration.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Prafulla said that a party was being organized for the Holi festival at Savvy Grand Hotel at posh Gomtinagar area. On Saturday, the police acted on it, so the hotel has been sealed by the SDM on Sunday.

He has ordered the police to keep a watch on the ban on hotel activities till the next order of administration.

Keeping in mind that the colour will be played on Monday after Holika Dahan, the SDM said that with the cooperation of the local police, the arrangement has been tightened. During this time, if anyone is found committing a crime, strict action will be initiated against a person.
