Banda, 27 January: Railway station administration on Friday served notice to the caretakers of Hanuman Mandir in Banda to vacate the ancient Hanuman temple built on the railway land after court orders.

Soon after this notice, Hindu organizations flew into rage and hundreds of workers sat on a dharna outside the temple. Vishva Hindu Parishad’s district president Chandramohan Bedi, who is sitting on the dharna, has warned that forget of removing the temple, just remove one brick, rivers of blood will flow here. He asked the central railway not dare to do so.

Bedi further said that this temple is located here for a long time where Shri Hanuman ji and Shivling are being worshiped daily by the devotees. But the said notice has hurt our faith and belief, so VHP Bajrang Dal demands that this grand temple should not be harmed in any way, otherwise we will be forced to protest violently.

?We have done this protest demonstration to warn the Railways. We want to say clearly that railways should not create any controversy otherwise there will be rivers of blood and the atmosphere of the city will be spoiled,? he said.

This whole matter is related to the platform number one of the railway station of Kotwali area of Banda district. The Banda Railway Administration has issued a notice to the centuries-old Hanuman temple here following a court order.

The temple of Hanuman ji (Hanuman Mandir in Banda) is built outside platform number one of Banda railway station of Central Railway. Assistant Railway Engineer has issued a notice in this regard. It is said that this temple should be removed within 15 days oitherwise Railways will remove it. The railway station master has also confirmed this.

Station Manager Krishna Kushwaha said that the work of doubling the railway line from Jhansi to Manikpur is proposed. Under which Banda railway station is also to be expanded. Hanuman ji’s temple is built outside platform number 1 of the railway station.

This temple can also become a hindrance during expansion, hence, the Railways has ordered the removal of the temple. The temple is situated in the railway land, apart from this, the places which will come under the ambit of encroachment will also be removed.
