Hindi resonates in South India, scholars meet in Visakhapatnam to promote lingua franca of N-E-W-C India

New Delhi, April 15: Vishwa Hindi Parishad organised a conference in Visakhapatnam, a major city of South India. In this conference, people of South India and Visakhapatnam showed respect towards Hindi language. According to the release issued here by Vishwa Hindi Parishad, this program took place on April 13.

According to the release, the celebrations began with a press conference at Andhra University. In the conference, President of Vishwa Hindi Parishad and former Rajya Sabha member Padmabhushan Acharya Y Lakshmi Prasad talked about the importance of Hindi language and the people who contributed to its development.

Strategy for promotion of Hindi language was discussed in the meeting. Academics, writers, social workers and students participated in the meeting.

Vishwa Hindi Parishad General Secretary Dr Vipin Kumar expressed his gratitude to Padmabhushan Acharya Y Lakshmi Prasad for the success of the program.

Dr Vipin Kumar said that there is no doubt that under the leadership of Acharya Lakshmi Prasad, Vishwa Hindi Parishad will make an important contribution in spreading Indian culture in Hindi not only in South India but also in the country and abroad. The main objective of the Council is to establish Hindi as the national language at the national-level while promoting regional languages.
