Head-on collision between two bikes, two dead in Pratapgarh

Pratapgarh, 21 March: The bike of a college student coming for examination collided with the bike coming from the front on Highway No. 56 of Suhagpura police station area. The accident was so severe that two youths jumped several feet away and fell. Two people including a student died in the accident.

Two students are admitted in critical condition. According to the information, three college students Naresh (21) son of Fani Lal Meena resident of Khiladi Kali Ghati, Rakesh (19) son of Karan Meena resident of Prithvipura, Vikas (21) son of Prabhu Lal Yadav resident of Biladia were riding on a bike, who were going from Pratapgarh towards Suhagpur.

On the other bike, Lalu Ram (36), son of Prabhulal Banjara, resident of Shamgarh Suwasra (Jhalawar), was coming from the front. During this time, there was a fierce face-to-face collision between the two bikes near Chhayan village. There was chaos on the road after the accident. A large number of people gathered. Passersby on the road took the injured to the district hospital with the help of 108 ambulances, where student Vikas (21) was declared dead. Lalu Ram (36) died during treatment.

The condition of two injured students is said to be critical. Villagers working in the fields told that suddenly there was a loud bang, after hearing which they ran from the fields and saw that two bikes had collided. Two youths had jumped and fallen about 18 feet away. Young men from both the bikes were seen jumping in the air and falling here and there. Three youths riding on a bike are said to be college students, whose ID cards were hanging around their necks.

According to the information, they were coming to Pratapgarh College to appear for examination, during which the accident took place.

According to the information, Lalu Ram sells blankets by hawking. The three youths riding on the second bike, Naresh, Rakesh and Vikas, are college students. All three family members earn their living by farming. Family members told that Vikas was going from Pratapgarh to appear for B.Com second year exam. His last paper was still pending. Vikas (21)’s father Prabhu Lal Yadav died two years ago and has a younger sister. Vikas was married a year ago in Baktod village.
