Varanasi, 07 January: Champat Rai, the Central Vice-President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the General Secretary of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, said that the ‘Temple Fundraising Campaign’ would be a vision of transparency and economic integrity around the world.

He told that the fundraising campaign will run for 42 days from the Makar Sankranti dedicated to the deity Surya. During this time, dedicated workers will go from house to house, village to village in four lakh villages. However, the target is to reach eleven crore families under this campaign but the kind of encouraging atmosphere we are witnessing, it is expected that we can also go to fund up to 12 crore families.

VHP Central Vice-President Champat Rai held a meeting with the councilors and officials of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) Kashi province in Varanasi on Thursday.

Inaugurating the office of the Council’s Kashi North District at Maldahiya Nilkatej Colony, he spoke to the workers in detail about the campaign.

He said that this day is being observed after 500 years of long struggle, constant efforts, people’s suffering and sacrifice.

He clarified that even though the government has formed the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the construction of the temple but the trust is not under government. The construction of the temple will be done with the contribution of crores of people and not of individuals. People will also feel that they have also contributed in the construction of the temple.

Giving a clear message to the workers about the campaign, he said that coupons of ten rupees, hundred rupees, one thousand rupees are sufficient. They should be fully utilized. Keep local people of the area in which the activists went out in the campaign. So that they too feel that they also have a contribution in the construction of the temple.

The VHP leader said that from February 1, the coupon collection campaign will run. This will include two to three teams with a maximum of five groups. The workers will go to the market, town, mohalla, court. They will also take a group of local people with them. This will create an atmosphere of trust in the wealth collection campaign and there will also be no crisis of mistrust.

He informed that after collection of money, the team will have to deposit the money in the bank on the same day. Within 24 to 48 hours, the bank will tell how much money has been collected in the campaign. 46000 branches of three banks Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda and State Bank of India are ready for this task. Workers will deposit the collected money at the nearest branch. We will not wait for the next day.

He said that in the branch where the workers will deposit money, they will have to deposit the money in the future so that this will save time and labor.

He informed that 17 computers and 17 CAs will monitor it in the council’s office in Delhi.
