Four farmers committed suicide in five days in Nashik

Mumbai, 05 November: Four farmers have allegedly committed suicide in Nashik in the last five days.Therefore, the atmosphere in Nashik has become tense due to the continuous farmer suicides. On Tuesday, Shiv Sena youth leader appealed to the farmers not to commit suicide.

Aditya Thackeray, president of the Yuva Sena, youth wing of Shiv Sena and first time MLA from Worli seat of Mumbai said that Shiv Sena is making efforts to provide compensation to farmers, so farmers should be patient. Aditya Thackeray met farmers in Nashik on Tuesday and assured them of immediate help.

According to the information, on Monday night, a farmer named Kiran Ugale committed suicide in Narayan village near Manmad in Nashik department. On Tuesday, the Sub Divisional Officer is investigating the matter. Kiran Ugale took a loan of Rs 1.5 lakh from Union Bank of India. It is being told that due to this debt, Kiran committed suicide.

Similarly, Sanjay Deshmukh committed suicide due to debt on November 1 in Mothabhau Devre, Malegaon of Nashik Department. On November 2, a farmer named Bhaskar Dhugay committed suicide due to debt in Malegaon Roze. It is being told that the crop of farmers has been destroyed due to excess rainfall.
