Female constable from Ayodhya hangs self in Lucknow

Lucknow, 11 January: (revised). Urmila Verma, 24, a constable posted in the Police Response Vehicle (PRV) of Mohanlalganj police station has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, the deceased’s mobile was missing from the crime scene and no suicide note has been recovered. The police are investigating the matter.

Station in-charge Mohanlalganj said on Monday that Urmila (24), a lady constable from Ayodhya, was posted in the police department in Lucknow.

Presently, her duty was in PRV. Late in the night, female policeman Urmila committed suicide by hanging herself.

The most important thing is that the mobile of the deceased woman has been missing since the scene. No suicide note has been recovered from the house. Family members are anticipating murder.

ACP Praveen Malik, DCP South Ravi Kumar has inspected the crime scene.

The ACP said that the body has been sent for post-mortem, only after the report is received that the information will be correct. Also, a cyber cell has been set up to find the deceased’s missing mobile. This case will be revealed soon after the mobile is recovered.
