Lucknow, April 11: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is proved to be effective at the time of 21-day nationwide lockdown in slip issuance and other works of cooperative sugarcane societies in Uttar Pradesh.
In this system, all the information to the sugarcane farmers is being made available through the online portal and e-sugarcane app at home, and the information about the sugarcane slip is being provided to the farmers on their mobile by SMS.
Commissioner, Cane and Sugar Industry Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy told on Saturday that through the ERP, information on the online portals www.caneup.in and E-Ganna App is being easily available to the farmers.
“With this arrangement, the sugarcane supply of farmers is being provided to the sugar mills at the right time even during the lockdown period,” added Bhoosreddy.
He informed that 5.18 crore sugarcane slips have been issued to 41.76 lakh sugarcane supplier farmers of the state, out of which 9.13 lakh small farmers, about 23 lakh slips have been issued.
He further said that 1.85 crore times the website www.caneup.in has been hit and about 6.30 crore times the data of farmers has been observed and 15.20 lakh farmers have downloaded the ‘E-Ganna App’ and about 33.62 crore times the app was hit.
