Lucknow, 02 March: Toll free number 1912 was created to solve the problems of power consumers. Due to this, consumers were hopeful that now they will not have to visit the electricians for electricity faults, but they were disappointed. The reason behind this is that complaints are disposed of in a fraudulent manner. Due to the solution to the problem being shown sans any solution, the problems of the consumers have increased considerably.

However, this issue was raised in the weekly webinar meeting of the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Consumer Council.

In this, members from across the state said that the Consumer Council itself should create a portal to solve the problem. This will expose the story of 1912. Apart from this, demand for providing cheap electricity was raised. Consumer Council members said that the condition of the poor in Uttar Pradesh is not good. The government should make arrangements to provide them electricity at cheaper rates.

The Consumer Council assured the consumers that soon the Council will create a portal for troubleshooting.

Through this portal, fake problem resolution will be raised and the problems of troubled consumers will be resolved.

Chairman of Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Consumer Council and member of the State Advisory Committee, Awadhesh Kumar Verma said that the views of the electricity consumers of the state are absolutely correct. Fake disposal of complaints is being done continuously on 1912. Therefore, the Consumer Council is continuously demanding resolution of complaints from the Power Corporation through OTP method.

Today, the demand of electricity consumers that the Consumer Council should create a portal for redressal of complaints, soon the Consumer Council will consider and launch a portal for complaints. With this, a detailed report on the problems of electricity consumers can be prepared and sent every month to the Electricity Regulatory Commission along with the Power Corporation management.
