Don’t shed crocodile tears, the government is with the victim: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, 30 September: Amidst the politics over the death of Kanpur businessman Manish Gupta in a hotel in Gorakhpur under suspicious circumstances, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav without naming him.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the victim’s family later in the afternoon and assured to fulfil their demands, also he announced to give job to the wife of the deceased in Kanpur Development Authority (KDA). After this, by tweeting late in the evening, the SP chief has been attacked.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted that those who criminalize politics, dacoity on development projects by giving protection to criminals and capturing them in power are shedding crocodile tears by going to the public today.

The Chief Minister said that Kanpur district is a living example of our ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ against crime and criminals. It is to be known that in the Bikru case of Kanpur last year, the Yogi government had taken unforgettable action against the criminals who attacked the policemen.

Further, the Chief Minister tweeted and said that it is our responsibility to connect with the suffering of the victim. The government is with the family at every step. They will get speedy justice at all costs. My sympathies are with them.

CM Yogi Adityanath has also given strict instructions to the responsible officers and policemen. He has said that whoever is guilty of the tragic incident in Gorakhpur, in any position, he will not be spared at any cost. Everyone will be held accountable.

The Chief Minister said that a criminal is only a criminal. After the incident, a case was registered immediately after directing the officials. Seeing the attitude of the Chief Minister, it is clear that soon some responsible officers may be charged.
