Children to get Covid-19 vaccines only after 3rd phase trial

Jaipur, 30 September: Union Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Petro-Chemical Minister Mansukh Mandaviya confirmed that the third phase trial is underway for children’s vaccine. The vaccine can be given to children only after the completion of the third phase.

Mandaviya, who was in Jaipur to attend the inauguration ceremony of CIPET: Institute of Petrochemical Technology, and the foundation stone of four new medical colleges in Banswara, Sirohi, Hanumangarh and Dausa districts of Rajasthan, was talking to reporters on Thursday.

Mandaviya said Bharat Biotech and Zydus Cadila, the country’s two major vaccine manufacturers are doing the third phase trial of children’s vaccine, since this is the subject of research, so only after the results will come out after the trial, only after that the vaccine will be given to children.

On the increasing cases of corona in Kerala, the Union Health Minister said that recently there has been an increase in the cases of corona in the state of Kerala. After this he also visited the state and an expert team has also been prepared, which is continuously monitoring the situation.

Mandaviya said that constant contact with the Chief Minister of Kerala and other health officials is also being kept from our side and now the situation in Kerala is slowly getting under control.
