Ayodhya, July 27: Mahanta of Nirvani Ani Akhara has sent a legal notice to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) regarding seeking a berth in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust before Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Ayodhya for ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ceremony for Ram Temple construction.

Mahant Dharmadas has sought a place for Nirvani Akhara in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Mahant Dharmadas told on Monday that the Nirvani Akhara had played a crucial role in the legal battle of the Ram Janmabhoomi land dispute.

He expressed displeasure over not being included in the trust and said that Nirvani Ani Akhara should also have been taken in the trust created by the government.

In the notice, Mahant Dharmadas said that within 2 months, a decision should be taken to take him as a priest in the new Ram temple.

He has said in the legal notice sent to the Prime Minister that he will take further legal action if his demand is not considered.

It is noteworthy that last year, the Supreme Court had ordered the formation of a trust for the construction of grand Ram temple at Ram Janmabhoomi site. After this, a 15-member trust was formed by the central government in which K. Parasaran was appointed the chairman of the trust,

However, later in the meeting held in Delhi, Mahant Gopaldas of Maniram Das Chavanee was made President of the Trust.

The trust has been named as Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust which has to supervise the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The Trust will be organising a ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir on August 5, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for Ram temple.
