Disciplinary action likely against MPs created ruckus in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, 20 September: The Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu deliberated in a high level meeting at his residence on Sunday after some opposition members created uproar during tabling of the farm bills.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi and Union Minister Piyush Goyal.

According to sources, Naidu is very upset with the incident in the House today. Therefore, any action can be taken against members who shouted slogans and tore up Rule Book by reaching to the well in the House.

There was a lot of uproar and chaos in the House during the discussion and voting on crucial farm bill. However, the ruling party has strongly condemned the behaviour of opposition members.
