Lucknow, 25 December: The Yogi Government suspended Auraiya’s District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Hriday Narayan Tripathi and clerk Santosh Babu on Friday.

However, this action was taken after the investigation report of the audio in which Tripathi was allegedly demanding bribe, went viral on various platform of social media.

According to Sushil Kumar, resident of Kadgore, he applied for the clerk job in Kisan Inter College, where later’s father was working as a spokesperson, under the deceased dependent quota, but departmental officials kept demanding bribe of Rs ten lakh, sometimes Rs five lakh for the job repeatedly.

They also threatened the deceased’s son that if money will not paid, his file will not be forwarded, he said.

In this regard, audio of conversation between Sushil and suspended DIOS Tripathi went viral on social media.

Thus, taking cognizance of the audio clip, the government and the department directed Kanpur Divisional Joint Education Director KK Gupta to conduct an investigation into a matter. The complainant Sushil Kumar Yadav was also called in the investigation. Auraiya’s Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) was also present.

Education Director Vinay Kumar Pandey said that it is clear from the investigation that DIoS Hriday Narayan Tripathi demanded bribe and he admitted it too that the viral audio clip is between him and Sushil is authentic.

Hence, taking quick action on the inquiry report, the government has suspended Hriday Narayan Tripathi. Disciplinary action has also been recommended against him. Also, clerk Santosh Babu has also been suspended.
