Digvijay Singh offers prayers at Shri Ram Lalla, rejects claims of opposing Ram Mandir construction

Ayodhya, March 26: Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh, reached Ayodhya on Thursday, the day of ‘Ram Navami’, to seek the blessings of Shri Ram Lalla.

Singh visited and worshipped Lord Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple and also paid obeisance at Hanumangarhi. He described his visit to Ayodhya on Ram Navami as a privilege.

Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh, arrived in Ayodhya by plane today. He was welcomed by Congress workers at Maharishi Valmiki Airport.

Speaking to the media here, the Congress leader said that it was his good fortune to come to Ayodhya on Ram Navami. He prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the countrymen. In response to a question, he dismissed allegations of opposing the Ram Mandir.

He said that he has contributed 1 lakh 11 thousand rupees for the construction of Ram Temple. He refused to comment on the US-Iran tension and petrol-diesel issues internationally, saying that he is on a religious journey and hence will not discuss politics today.

After visiting Ram Lalla, he said that it was very good to see Ram Lalla. He said that we prayed to Lord Ram that prosperity spreads throughout the country and harmony prevails among all people. He said that I never opposed the construction of Ram Temple.

It is noteworthy that Congress leader Digvijay Singh, who raised the most questions regarding the construction of Ram Temple, has reached Ayodhya for the first time after the construction of the temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
