Haridwar, March 11: Former Chief Minister and MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the foundation stone of various railway projects to the nation on March 12 (Tuesday). This also includes the launch of Dehradun-Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat and one station one product stall. This program will be telecast at Haridwar Railway Station.

Nishank apprised in a statement issued on Monday that the operation of Vande Bharat Semi High Speed ​​Train will prove to be a milestone for the development of the hill state, because Uttarakhand is known as a big tourist area along with Devbhoomi. The operation of this train will benefit the ‘Char Dham’ pilgrims, tourists, industrialists and local residents coming to Devbhoomi.

He said that currently three new railway track projects worth more than Rs 17000 crore are in progress in Uttarakhand. In this year’s budget, Uttarakhand has received a record allocation of Rs 5120 crore for railways and a plan has been made to develop 11 railway stations as world class railway stations.

Dr Nishank said that the work which was not done in Haridwar in the last 60 years, has been done in just 10 years. This is historical. With the operation of this train, a radical change will be seen in the industry and tourism sector. In this sequence, Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line is an example among us in which many tunnels and bridges have been built. Doubling survey work was done. Operational facility expanded for 18 coach trains at Raiwala, Doiwala, Harrawala and Dehradun stations. Trains have started operating at the grand station of Yoga city Rishikesh. Expanding passenger security at Haridwar Railway Station with installation of Additional deployment of Railway Protection Force personnel has been made.

He stated that apart from lift facility at Haridwar, Dehradun and Yog Nagari Rishikesh stations, new foot over bridges at Raiwala, Dhandera, Aithal, Pathri, Jwalapur, Rishikesh, beautification of Roorkee Railway Station, construction of Padli Gujjar underpass completed, construction of over bridge at Laksar completed.
