‘Dastak Abhiyan’ to start from Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh

Iron tablet will be distributed to children between 6 and 19 years of age in all 75 districts.

1 to 19 years of age in 25 districts to be fed medicine to remove insects from the stomach.

Lucknow, 09 March: ‘Dastak Abhiyan’ is being started in all 75 districts of the state of Uttar Pradesh from March 10.

Under this campaign, children will be distributed iron tablets and medicines to remove worms from the stomach. This campaign will run till March 24.

National Health Mission’s General Manager, National Adolescent Health Program Dr Ved Prakash said that this time along with the ‘Dastak Abhiyan’, the National Worm Liberation Campaign is also being run.

“Under the WIFS program, a pink pill of iron will be distributed to children aged 6 years to 10 years and blue tablets of iron to adolescent girls from 11 years to 19 years. ASHA workers will do this work from door to door. Each beneficiary will be given 8 tablets. One pill has to be consumed every week,” added Ved Prakash.

Campaign will run in 25 districts of the state

At the same time under the National Worm Liberation Campaign, from Wednesday, children aged 1 year to 19 years will be fed Albandjal pill according to their age. This campaign will run in 25 identified districts of the state. These districts are Aligarh, Agra, Amroha, Bijnor, Badaun, Baghpat, Bulandshahar, Shamli, Saharanpur, Sambhal, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Meerut, Moradabad, Lalitpur, Mainpuri, Kasganj, Mathura, Hathras, Jhansi, GB Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur. , Firozabad and Etah.

Dr Ved Prakash told that both stomach worms and iron deficiency are a hindrance in the development of children. Therefore, it is necessary for children to take this medicine.

He clarified that the National Worm Liberation Campaign is currently being run in 25 districts. The remaining districts will be run in the coming days.

Campaign will run on Covid protocol

ASHA workers, who are assigned to provide iron tablets and medicines door to door, will fully adhere to the Covid protocol. During the tour, ASHA workers have to use gloves, masks and sanitizers from time to time.

At the same time, the campaign has to be made 100 percent successful by maintaining a distance of two yards. Asha has been instructed that the mother and father should not only give medicine but chew it in front of them and feed it.

Ayushman Golden Card will be made free

Under the Prime Minister Jan Arogya Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Abhiyan, a free golden card is being made for the selected beneficiaries of the scheme. This campaign will run till 24 March. Additional Chief Secretary has also issued a letter in this regard.

According to the letter, for making a golden card, till now, Rs. 30 had to be paid at the Jan Seva Kendras, but during this fortnight this card will be made free of cost.

Free treatment facility up to five lakh per year to the family of the eligible beneficiary

It is worth noting that under this scheme, the family of the eligible beneficiary gets the facility of free treatment up to five lakh rupees per year. During the campaign to make the golden card from December 15 2020 to January 15 2021, more than 10 lakh cards were made in UP, but still 63 percent of the families covered by this scheme in the state are yet to get a gold card.
