Lucknow, April 04: So far, 18 Jamaatis who joined Nizamuddin Markaz group from Lucknow have been reported to be in Delhi, informed Joint Commissioner of Police (Law&Order), Naveen Arora.

Among these 18 people, the Lucknow Police have interacted with some of them after which sensational revelation has come out that they are all together in Delhi.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Naveen Arora informed that out of 18 Jamaatis who had joined Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz, five had taken their wives with them. That means the total number of people who have gone to Delhi was 23.

However, all 18 Jamaatis and wives of five of them have gone into self-isolation. This information was received by the Lucknow Police over phone conversation with some Jamaatis. Most of the phone numbers of the Jamaatis were of the family members residing in Lucknow. Only a few Jamaatis have provided their numbers from which this information could be revealed, apprised Arora.

Significantly, the Tablighi Jamaat was organized in Nizamuddin Markaz Masjid area of South โ€‹โ€‹Delhi, in which thousands of Jamaatis had gathered violating countrywide 21-day lockdown orders to restrain the spread of COVID-19, from overseas and across the country including Lucknow.
