Council schools for classes 1 to 8 to open in UP from July 1

Lucknow, 15th June: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to open all the council schools from class one to eight from July 1. However, students will not be called to school yet. At the same time, the presence of teachers and staff has been made mandatory.

Director General of School Education Vijay Kiran Anand said that the council schools are being opened for administrative work from July 1. The students are yet to attend the school till further orders.

He informed that during this time, there will be other administrative work including distribution of mid-day meal, payment of conversion cost in schools, for which teachers and staff will have to be present in the school from July 1.

Secretary Basic Education Council, UP Pratap Singh Baghel has also issued an order in this regard. Copies of the order have been sent to all the education officers of the state.
