Coronavirus cases continue to drop in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, 03 May: The cases of coronavirus infection continue to decline across the Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the number of people recovering from infection is continuously increasing. Within the last 24 hours, 29,192 new corona cases were registered across the state, while 38,687 people have won the battle against corona. Sadly, 288 people have died due to infection in a single day in the state.

State’s Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that the situation in Prayagraj, Jhansi, Gorakhpur and Chandauli, including the capital Lucknow, is worrisome. Most of the deaths have taken place in these districts. Lucknow continues to have the highest number of infected cases. In the last 24 hours, Lucknow has the highest number of 3058 infected cases, while 26 people have died. On the other hand, 5,686 people in Lucknow have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours.

Additional Chief Secretary Health said that after Lucknow, maximum 1446 cases have been reported in Gautam Buddha Nagar, 1404 in Moradabad, 1311 in Kanpur Nagar, 1222 in Saharanpur, 1097 in Gorakhpur, 1022 in Varanasi, 994 in Jhansi and 858 cases in Prayagraj.

4, 15, 91,659 samples tested so far

Prasad said that as per the instructions of the Chief Minister, by conducting a large number of testing work in the state, the testing capacity is being increased continuously. A total of 2,29,440 samples were tested in the last one day, which is the highest test till date, out of which more than 01 lakh 29 thousand were tested through RTPCR. A total of 4, 15, 91,659 samples have been tested so far in the state. So far, a total of more than 10, 43,134 people have been free of Covid infection.

โ€œOut of the total active cases of corona in the state, 2, 33,290 persons are in home isolation and 8673 patients in private hospitals, apart from this, patients are being treated in government hospitals,โ€ he added.

Surveillance and vaccinations continue

Prasad said that the ongoing operation of surveillance is going on continuously. So far, 16, 42, 58,162 population of 3, 40, 43,104 houses have been surveyed in 2, 48,963 areas through surveillance team in the state. So far, the first dose of vaccine has been given to 1, 03, 57,458 people and out of the first dose, 23, 76,640 people have been given the second dose of vaccine. Thus, a total of 1,27,34,138 vaccines have been dosed.

He informed that vaccination of people aged 18 to 44 years, as well as those above 45 years of age, is going on in the state. In which people get their vaccinations done on a high scale. Even after applying the Covid vaccine, follow the Kovid protocol.
