Moscow, March 25: Virologist Mikhail Shechelkanov, head of the Microbiology Ecology Laboratory of the School of Biomedicine of Russia’s Far Eastern Federal University, said in an interview, “The novel corona virus pandemic in the best case will subside in summer and at worst case will survive for another season of winter.

He said that the best situation is that in the summer European and American countries will be able to control the corona virus pandemic and stop the spread of this pandemic wave. That would be pretty cool.

Russia’s leading virology expert also anticipated a situation when the COVID-19 will remain in the world for another winter season. In this scenario of corona virus epidemic, the US and the European Union will have to be isolated from the entire world. That would be the worst case, causing a major epidemic to knock again in the next winter season.
