Chinese virus: Slaughterhouses to be closed in Uttar Pradesh for three days

Lucknow, March 21: The Yogi government has taken another major decision to close slaughter houses in Uttar Pradesh from March 22 to 24 to prevent the rising infection of the corona virus in the state.

Minister Dairy Development, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary on Saturday directed the Principal Secretary to close all the slaughter houses in Uttar Pradesh.

He said that licensed slaughter houses will remain closed for the next three days in all districts. The order of closure will be effective from the night of March 22 to 24. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the order.

He said that this decision has been taken to fight against COVID-19 on the Prime Minister Narendra Modiโ€™s call whereas Uttar Pradesh is being led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in this mission.
