Chief Minister Yogi inaugurates ‘Hunar Haat’ in Lucknow to promote artisans

Lucknow, January 11: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Hunar Haat at Awadh Shilpagram in the capital Lucknow on Saturday. Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and several ministers of the state government were also present on the occasion.

After inaugurating the Hunar Haat, Chief Minister Yogi said that his government has promoted traditional industry to honor the skill. He said that the State Government has started One District One Production (ODOP) scheme for this.

The Chief Minister said that in every district of Uttar Pradesh, something new is found which is the specialty of that district. He informed that after the implementation of one district one excise scheme, the export of the state has increased rapidly. He said that in 2018 and 2019, UP’s share in India’s exports was only eight per cent, but within one year of the implementation of ODOP scheme, this share has increased to 28 per cent.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this occasion, Yogi said that due to his inspiration, the traditional industry of UP has got a new platform. The Chief Minister said that his government is providing all kinds of support to promote the traditional industry of the state.

On this occasion, Yogi also attacked the previous governments of the state. He said that the previous governments did not work at all to promote the traditional industry and to honor the skill of the city, due to which the cottage industries were ending. On this occasion, Yogi also discussed Mahatma Gandhi’s Gram Swaraj Abhiyan.

The Hunar Haat, which started today at Awadh Shilpgram in the capital Lucknow, will be held till January 21. Artisans, craftsmen and artisans from different parts of the country are participating in it.
