New Delhi, 01 May: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a new marking policy for the cancelled 10th grade examinations for the academic session 2020-21 due to Corona pandemic.

According to the new marks policy announced by CBSE on Saturday, 20 marks out of 100 in each subject will be given on the basis of internal assessment and 80 marks on the basis of examinations and tests conducted during the session.

Meanwhile, students will be evaluated by their schools. The board has told the schools that the marks of the 10th class board examinations should be in line with the previous examination of the school.

The board has asked the schools to form an 8-member committee to prepare the results. It will have seven teachers in addition to the school principal. This committee will finalize the results.

It is noteworthy that in view of the second wave of novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the country, it was decided to cancel the 10th examinations in a high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
