Bulandshahr: Gym triple murder accused Jeetu Saini shot dead in police encounter

Jeetu Saini, the prime accused in the recent shooting that claimed three lives during a birthday party at a gym, was shot dead on Thursday in Bulandshahr’s Khurja police station area in a police encounter, bringing a dramatic end to the case that had shaken the district.

The police had announced a reward of 50,000 rupees on the accused. Two policemen were also injured in the encounter and have been admitted to the hospital.

Khurja Circle Officer (CO) Shobhit Kumar said that three people were shot dead at a gym on Subhash Marg in Khurja police station on the night of April 25. An encounter took place this morning between the main accused in this murder case, Jeetu Saini, and the police near Jhajjar Road Sikanderpur village. During several rounds of firing from both sides, Jeetu Saini was hit by two bullets, while SWAT team in-charge Inspector Mohammad. Aslam and Head Constable Mohit Malik were also injured by the bullets.

The CO said that the accused murderer, Jeetu, was taken to Jatiya Hospital in an injured state, from where he was referred to the district hospital. The main accused, Jeetu, died during treatment there. Two pistols, a revolver, live and empty cartridges were recovered from his possession.

The CO said that the injured policemen are undergoing treatment at a higher center. Further action is being taken in the incident.
