Bollywood: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput commits suicide, body found hanging in his Bandra home

New Delhi, June 14: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, committed suicide at his Bandra residence earlier this morning in Mumbai.

The actor was found hanging from the fan in his house.

 Sushant Singh Rajput debuted with a film called Kai Po Che and was last seen blockbuster Chhichhore.

On Sunday, his body was found hanging from the fan in the house. The housekeeper called informed the police. So far now, nothing much has been revealed about his drastic decision.

Initial reports from Mumbai police say that the actor was in depression as some medicines have been recovered from his flat.

Sushant was a very popular Bollywood actor. He started his career as a TV actor. He first worked in a serial called ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil’, but he got name and fame from Ekta Kapoor’s serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’.

Sushant Singh Rajput started his film career as a lead actor in ‘Kai Po Che’. His performance in this film was highly appreciated. He was then seen in ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ opposite Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. However, he was most admired in the film ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ by playing the role of former captain of Indian Cricket Team MS Dhoni. It was his first film to earn a hundred crores at the box office.

Sushant had also appeared in films like Sonchiriya and Chhichhore. His last film was Kedarnath opposite Sara Ali Khan. Sushant was born in January 1986 in Mahida in Purnia district in Bihar.

Sushant’s mother had died when Sushant was only 16 years old. He was very close to his mother, that is why he has expressed his love for mother on social media umpteen times.

Sushant was living alone in Bandra’s house. Police is recording statements from neighbours regarding his suicide.

As per the reports, Sushant was in depression for six months, but no one was expecting that he would take such extreme a step.

Sushant’s last film ‘Chhichhor’ was based on suicide in which it was shown that why one should not commit suicide but today he chose the same path for his death.

In the past, many Bollywood celebrities have said goodbye to this world. Legendary actors like Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor died in the month of April. Recently, singer and music composer Wajid Khan died of Covid-19 at the age of 42. Also last month, senior lyricist Yogesh Gaur also said goodbye to this world.
