Bank of India branch manager sentenced to 5 yrs rigorous imprisonment

New Delhi, 16 November: A special CBI court has sentenced the then branch manager of Bank of India to five years of rigorous imprisonment and two private persons to one year of rigorous imprisonment in a bank fraud case.

CBI special judge in Ahmedabad has sentenced A Gadadhar, manager of Sarumagar Bank of India branch, to five years and a fine of Rs 60,000.

In the same case, two private persons Pandit Rajashekhar and Gaddi Gopala Satyendra Rao have been sentenced to one year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each.

The manager was accused of causing a loss of Rs 73 lakh 80 thousand to the bank due to his wrongly giving loan. In this case, CBI had registered an FIR, after investigation of which CBI filed a charge sheet against these accused.
