Banda, 28 December: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team arrested Rambhavan, a junior engineer (JE) of the irrigation department, for the allegedly sexual exploitation of over 50 children.

On Monday, the CBI arrested his wife also and sent both of them to jail.

Devdutt Tripathi, an advocate of the accused JE Ram Bhavan, said that the CBI had registered a case against JE showing three to four persons unknown. Under this, his wife has been arrested and sent to jail by the CBI.

The CBI has sent him to jail under Section 120 (A) and The Protection of Children from Sexual offences (POCSO) Act. The CBI alleges that JE sexually abused the minor children in the knowledge of the wife, knowing that the wife hid the husband’s crime, so the wife is also charged in this case.

The CBI team produced the arrested wife in a special court today, which was sent to jail.

Let us tell that after the arrest of JE by the police, the wife and her friends and relatives were also questioned. This is the second arrest in the case after JE.
