Prayagraj, 19 June: The Allahabad High Court has directed the District Magistrate (DM) Mau to immediately pay the compensation for the petitioner from Saudi Arabia.

The King of Saudi Arabia has sent Rs 60, 60, 606 to the DM Mau through the Riyadh Embassy to give to the petitioners Hafiz Naushad Ahmed and Shahida Bano. This compensation has been given on the death of the petitioner’s son Mohammad Faiz in a road accident which the DM is not paying due to not giving the succession certificate of this amount.

The court has asked the petitioner to apply for the interest from August 9 2020 till now to the DM and he should calculate the interest and pay it.

This order has been rendered by a division bench of Justice SP Kesharwani and Justice RN Tilhari on the petition of Hafiz Naushad Ahmed and others.

Earlier, the outstanding salary of the petitioner’s son had come through the embassy. The only heir parent was paid by the District Magistrate.

In the matter of compensation, the DM sent the succession report of the petitioner to the Riyadh Embassy on October 14, 2020. On which the embassy sent money to DM, but he was not paying.

Regarding which the petition was filed. The court said that the succession certificate is required in the case of loans and securities. This does not apply to payment of compensation. So there is no need to give succession certificate.
