New Delhi, 9th August: Like in Pakistan, now in Bangladesh, extremists have vandalized a temple, targeting it. Simultaneously, dozens of houses and shops of people belonging to the Hindu community were set on fire. Pictures of the vandalism of the temple by the extremists have gone viral on social media.

However, the police have arrested 10 people in connection with the attack on the temple.

According to the Dhaka Tribune, a temple belonging to a minority Hindu community was targeted in Shiyali village of Rupsha in Bangladesh’s Khulna district on Saturday. The temple was vandalized on a large scale.

Simultaneously, a mob of fanatics set fire to dozens of houses and shops of Hindus.

It is being told that a group of women devotees were going in the form of a procession from the temple to the cremation ground and the procession was to go while crossing the mosque on the way. The Imam opposed the procession through the mosque. There was a heated argument between both the sides regarding this. The dispute soon took the form of a riot.

During this, a mob of fundamentalists attacked and ransacked the temple. Bangladesh Hindu Unity Council has shared pictures of the acts of radicals on its Twitter handle, which have gone viral on social media.
