Ayodhya, 25 March: This time the festival of colours was very special in Ramnagari Ayodhya. Immense enthusiasm among the people was witnessed in temple town on the occasion of Holi. Shri Ram Lalla ( infant for of Shri Ram) also played Holi in the grand temple after 495 years.

To witness this special occasion, Ram devotees from all over the country gathered for ‘darshan’. On this occasion, along with grand makeup, special clothes were offered to Ramlala.

On the morning of Holi in Ayodhya, first of all, permission to play Holi was sought by offering Abir Gulal to the Lord present in the Math temples. After this, the whole of Ayodhya was immersed in the joy of colour festival. In the’ garbhagriha’ of Ramlala, the priests showered flowers on Ramlala and played Holi with him.

Abir Gulal was offered to ‘smiling’ Ram Lalla as part of his raga bhog and adornment. On this occasion, 56 types of dishes were offered to Lord Ramlala. The priest also sang Holi songs to Ramlala. The same devotees who came to see Ramlala at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex were also seen dancing and singing on Holi songs.

Similarly, there was joy of Holi in the entire city. It is noteworthy that Ramlala is celebrating his first Holi after his consecration on January 22 in Ayodhya. His charming idol is decorated with flowers. Gulal has been applied on the forehead. The idol of Ramlala wearing pink dress is attractive.

On Monday, a large number of devotees reached Ayodhya to pay obeisance to Ramlala. Meanwhile, special arrangements have been made by the temple for Ramlala’s Holi.
