8-Page suicide note recovered from Mahant Narendra Giri’s room

Lucknow/Prayagraj, 20 September: Mahant Narendra Giri, President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, died under suspicious circumstances on Monday. The police have prima facie termed it as a case of suicide.

Meanwhile, the Police also recovered an eight-page suicide note from his room. Meanwhile, the government has also summoned a complete report from the district administration regarding the death of Mahant Narendra Giri.

Prayagraj Inspector General (IG) KP Singh told that all the things have been written in detail in the suicide note recovered from the room of Mahant Narendra Giri. In this he has also expressed displeasure with some disciples.

According to IG, the suicide note has been written in a very emotional manner and there is a mention of committing suicide in it.

The Inspector General of Police also said that at present, a forensic examination of the suicide note will also be conducted so that it can be clear whether it was written by Mahant Narendra Giri or not.

Meanwhile, State Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home Awanish Awasthi has called for a complete report from Prayagraj district and police administration regarding the death of Mahant Narendra.

ACS Home is keeping an eye on this matter himself and is also apprising Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

It is noteworthy that the body of Mahant Narendra Giri, President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, was found hanging from a noose in the Baghambri Math of Prayagraj.

District administration and police officials have reached the spot. A huge police force has been deployed on the spot. The police are investigating inside the monastery and a large crowd has gathered outside. The Saints and Mahatmas of the country are shocked by the sudden demise of Mahant Narendra Giri. Many saints have demanded a fair investigation into his death under suspicious circumstances.
