5 policemen suspended for negligence in suspected IS militant Abu Yusuf case

Balrampur, August 28: The Superintendent of Police (SP) Balrampur on Friday suspended five police personnel for negligence in duty in connection with the cases of alleged ISIS operative Abu Yusuf alias Mustakim who was arrested in Delhi, the police said.

SP Balrampur Dev Ranjan Verma informed that the actual residence of the arrested terrorist is in village Badhaya Bhaisahi under Utraula police station in the district. Terrorist Mustakim’s house was searched by the sleuths of Delhi Police, Intelligence Bureau (IB) and District Police in which explosive material, suicide jackets, etc. deadly material were recovered during the search.

“During the interrogation of suspected IS militant Abu, it was told that he had tested the bomb in April near the village Barhaya Bhaisahi under Utraula police station by detonating an explosion declaring it a very serious episode. No inputs were gained by the policemen of the area regarding this type of incident,” SP told.

Inspector Anil Yadav posted in police station Utraula, sub-inspector (SI) Sasibhushan Pandey, beat constables Ramesh Kumar, Pankaj Kumar and beat inspector of LIU Anil Yadav have been suspended after being found prima facie guilty in the interim investigation report of high level investigation.
