Lucknow, 18 March: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh will complete four years of its term on March 19. To make the occasion memorable, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will create a new world record on March 20 by laying the foundation stone for the development work of about 400 tourist spots of the state.

There is hardly any occasion in the world when development work has started simultaneously at about 400 tourist destinations of a state. Chief Minister Yogi will collectively start this very ambitious scheme from Shri Ganesh Gorakhpur.

On this occasion, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Charitable Affairs of the state Neelkanth Tiwari will also be present.

Tourism Minister Tiwari said that the Yogi government has launched the ‘Chief Minister Tourism Promotion Scheme’ to promote tourism across Uttar Pradesh. Under this, the government has prepared an agenda for the development of a tourist destination in every assembly of the state. Village tourism will be encouraged in the state by this scheme of the government.

Tiwari further said that there is immense potential for rural tourism in Uttar Pradesh. Important religious, spiritual, cultural and natural sites of each district will be developed under this scheme. This will allow domestic and foreign tourists to spend a few moments in the villages under village tourism and enjoy the local beauty. This will strengthen the economy of the villages. Also, new employment opportunities will be created.

The Tourism Minister said that for the implementation of the scheme, a proposal was sought from all the MLAs of the state to develop a tourist destination in their area. Up to Rs 50 lakh works will be done by the department for the development of each tourist destination.

โ€œChief Minister Yogi will lay the foundation stone in all the 403 Vidhan Sabha of the state simultaneously. The Minister has expressed the hope that all these development works will be completed within seven months and they will also be released in the coming September,โ€ added Tiwari.

On the foundation stone laying program for developing about 400 tourist spots of the state, BJP state spokesperson Manish Shukla informed that this vision of Chief Minister Yogi shows him on the other side of the state’s former chief ministers.

BJP spokesperson told that Chief Minister Yogi has given new impetus to the tourism of the state through culture and spirituality. As a result, Uttar Pradesh has been the most visited by domestic and foreign tourists in the last four years.

He said that India is recognized worldwide for its culture and traditions and Uttar Pradesh is the soul of Indian culture. This region has been the center of cultural and spiritual faith for centuries, but there were never attempts to cherish this identity and present it on the world stage. But, Yogi Adityanath recognized this characteristic of the state and weaved a new narrative of the development of the state with culture and spirituality. Under this, he changed the picture of the entire state with Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura and Tirthraj Prayag.
