4 militants of ‘banned’ terror outfit Babbar Khalsa International arrested in Punjab, weapons recovered

Chandigarh, 28 October: Punjab Police has arrested four terrorists of Pro- Khalitani banned terror outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and recovered a huge quantity of weapons.

Giving information about this on Saturday, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said that the terrorists arrested by Mohali District Police were planning to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab by doing target killing during the upcoming festival days.

According to the DGP, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) wing of SAS Nagar (Mohali) police has busted a terrorist module. The members of the organization have relations with terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda sitting in Pakistan. In collaboration with Rinda’s terrorist organization BKI, they were smuggling weapons from Pakistan.

DGP apprised that the arrested accused were also procuring weapons from Pakistan and supplying them in Punjab with the help of drones.

He said that six foreign pistols and 275 live cartridges were also recovered from their possession. Police are interrogating them to get information about where these weapons were to be used and to whom they were to be delivered.
