Yogi govt forms SIT to probe into death of Mahant Narendra Giri

Prayagraj, 21 September: The state government has constituted a Special Investigation Teams (SIT) to investigate the death of Mahant Narendra Giri.

After investigation, the team will submit the complete report to the state headquarters. The accounts of the police personnel posted under the protection of the Mahant will be scrutinized. Along with this, Anand Giri, a lover of luxury vehicles, is being questioned in the police line.

In the death of Mahant Narendra Giri, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had told only after his last visit that an inquiry committee had been constituted. In which Divisional Commissioner Prayagraj, ADG Prayagraj Prem Prakash, District Magistrate (DM), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sarvashest Tripathi and IG Kavinder Prasad Singh are included.

If police sources are to be believed, then the property of the police personnel engaged in the security of the Mahant can also be investigated. Some police personnel are also being interrogated.

Another disciple of Mahant Nirbhay Giri told during a conversation with the media staff that some police employees engaged in the security of Mahant have immense wealth, they should also be investigated.

Nirbhay Giri told that Anand Giri himself was fond of luxury vehicles. Anand Giri was arrested in Australia two years ago, since then Mahant Narendra Giri Maharaj was angry.
