Lucknow, July 19: The Yogi government has given a big gift to the people of the state in the field of health as patients across the state will not have to visit hospitals for lab test reports. They will be sent lab reports on their registered mobile numbers. Patients will get this facility within a few hours after the test. This facility will be available to patients from CHC to big hospitals as well. This facility was currently available only in big hospitals of the capital.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi, the facility has been extended to every district hospital and community health centers of the state.

Lab test reports will be available on PHR portal, app, SMS and WhatsApp

Health and Medical Secretary Ritu Maheshwari said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the test reports will now be made available on mobile to the patients coming for test in government hospitals of the state. The Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) operated in the hospitals of the state has been connected to the Lab Information System (LIS). This has been done under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Now the patient’s test report will be available directly on his Personal Health Record (PHR) portal or mobile app. Along with this, the report will also be shared through SMS and WhatsApp.

She told that earlier the patient had to go to the hospital again to get the report after the test, which also took time and delayed treatment. Many times, in case of loss of the report, the test had to be done again. Now once the test is done, the report will be available at home. The test report will be sent directly to the patient’s Personal Health Record (PHR). Patients can download it from anywhere anytime. After the test report is ready, an SMS alert will be sent to the patient’s registered mobile number and a link will be sent, so that he can view or download the report.

Secretary Ritu Maheshwari said that the report of the patient admitted in the hospital will reach the concerned doctor directly through the Hospital Information System. This will not delay treatment and accuracy will increase. This facility will ensure accuracy, timeliness and transparency of the report. This will increase trust and efficiency in health services. Patients themselves will be able to download their reports through the PHR app and share them with other doctors or hospitals as required. At the same time, patients can see all the medical records of Aabha ID in an integrated form and keep them under control. It is being implemented in the laboratories of all the district hospitals and community health centers of the state.

It is worth mentioning that at present this system is already active in many hospitals and reports are being sent to patients through mobile app, SMS and WhatsApp.
