Sant Kabir Nagar, 3 May: Adityanath stated at the launch of his campaign for the second phase of the urban local body votes here that animals used to die after drinking water from the Aami river six years ago, but it is now clean, pure, and uninterrupted. Maghar, a town in the Sant Kabir Nagar district of eastern Uttar Pradesh, was long regarded a gateway to “hell,” according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, but the BJP government has laboured to transform it into a “heaven.”

“Death in Maghar used to mean going to ‘nark’ (hell), but saint Kabir changed that notion, and it became heaven in the double-engine government. The double-engine government has established Saint Kabir Academy to promote research on his values and ideals, including social equality and harmony,” the chief minister added. The first phase of the ULB elections will take place on May 4, followed by the second phase on May 11. The ballots will be counted on May 13. Adityanath has been leading the BJP’s campaign for local elections, hosting multiple electoral gatherings for party candidates around the state.

?People will believe that the chief minister is personally campaigning in the municipal elections. Yes, I am coming because the money will be sent from Delhi and Lucknow, and we want the money to be used wisely in the public’s interest,” he explained.

“Money existed prior to 2017, but the poor did not receive housing. Money was squandered. For 70 years, it went into the pockets of a few. Otherwise, by now, every impoverished person would have a toilet and a house. There would have been proper drainage arrangements in urban areas,” he claimed.

In terms of infrastructure development, Adityanath stated that the Purvanchal Expressway’s connection highway runs to Gorakhpur via Sant Kabir Nagar. When it came to development, we did not discriminate,? he opined.

According to an official release, he stated, “We did not consider one’s caste or religion when providing benefits of government schemes. “An industrial corridor will be constructed here. With the establishment of plants, new job opportunities will be created,” he said, adding that India has the capacity to lead on the world arena under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Previous governments, according to Adityanath, “allowed firing” at farmers and closed the Munderwa Sugar Mill, but his government revived it. He further stated that “people belonging to a particular party” used to extort money from traders at gunpoint before to 2017. ?By founding a Traders Welfare Board, we were able to provide a Rs 10 lakh security insurance cover. Today, no goon carries a pistol in his hand; rather, the state’s youths carry a tablet,” he added.
